I called Superior this morning around 9 a.m. and they had someone out here by 2 p.m. Colbie was our tech; he called to let me know he was on his way. I've been using Superior Heating/AC (previously Croffoot) for several years for annual check-ups and service. This year, the check-up (14-year-old system) showed several issues that could result in problems during the upcoming hot season, and I decided to get a quote on a new HVAC system. There was no pressure from the tech performing the check-up; in fact, he stated they could repair the current unit, and have repaired several units many years older, but it would just be a matter of cost and my choice. In addition, the unit on the home was the original "builder grade" and seemed too small for the home size. I had three estimates based on the unit chosen later that day from Shane (at Superior) and proceeded with the installation schedule (most people would likely get two or more estimates, but for me, I was OK with the quote since I have trusted them for years and it seemed fair). Two weeks later, Kenny and Jonathan were the two main installation technicians that worked non-stop from 7 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. putting in the new unit. Not only were they polite and courteous, the work area was left clean and they explained the unit and its operation. I was provided photos (via email) of the new unit installed in the attic and the outdoor compressor. There are a lot of AC choices out there, and I'm glad a coworker suggested Superior, who continue to maintain the high standards that I always found with their predecessor, Croffoot.
